Hever Church of England Aided Primary School is a small village school with its own grounds in
a pleasant rural situation.
Immediate neighbours are St Peter's Church and Hever Castle and the school maintains links
with both.
There has been a school in Hever since Victorian times, the present building being constructed
between 1909 and 1911 by William Waldorf Astor.
The school is surrounded by a playground, nature garden and small games field. The adjacent
village football field is frequently used for larger school events. Edenbridge Leisure Centre,
about two miles away, is visited regularly for swimming.
Committed teaching staff work closely with parents to build up the children's confidence and facilitate their academic,
social and emotional development.
As part of the Christian ethos of the school children are encouraged to care about and be considerate to those around
them and a responsible attitude is fostered.
